Author Guideline

General Requirements

  1. Manuscripts submitted to Medical Research and Health Innovation must be original works that have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  2. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, including the accuracy of data, ethical compliance, and originality of the work.

  3. Submitted manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process before publication.

  4. Published articles become part of the journal archive and may not be republished in any form without permission from the editorial board.

  5. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's policies and formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the review process.

Scope of Accepted Manuscripts

Medical Research and Health Innovation accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

  • Literature Reviews

  • Case Reports

  • Community Service Reports

  • Short Communications

  • Conceptual and Theoretical Papers

  • Healthcare Innovation Reports

The journal welcomes contributions from various fields of health sciences, medicine, nursing, midwifery, public health, pharmacy, nutrition, rehabilitation sciences, biomedical sciences, healthcare management, health policy, and other multidisciplinary health-related fields.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  2. The manuscript should be written in English or Indonesian.

  3. Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size, and 1.5 line spacing.

  4. Paper size: A4 (21 cm × 29.7 cm).

  5. Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  6. Manuscripts should generally be between 4,000–8,000 words, excluding references.

  7. Pages must be numbered consecutively.

Title

  1. The title should clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.

  2. The title should not exceed 20 words.

  3. Use bold font and capitalize major words.

  4. Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

Author Information

  1. Author names should be written below the title without academic degrees or professional titles.

  2. Include the affiliation of each author.

  3. Provide the corresponding author's email address.

  4. Authors should be listed according to their contribution to the study.

  5. ORCID IDs are encouraged.

Abstract and Keywords

  1. The abstract should not exceed 250 words.

  2. The abstract must briefly describe:

    • Background

    • Objective

    • Methods

    • Results

    • Conclusion

  3. Provide 3–5 keywords below the abstract.

  4. For manuscripts written in Indonesian, abstracts must be provided in both Indonesian and English.

  5. For manuscripts written in English, only an English abstract is required.

Structure of Research Articles

The introduction should explain:

  • Background of the study

  • Research problem

  • Literature review

  • Research objectives

5. Methods

This section should clearly describe:

  • Research design

  • Study setting

  • Population and sample

  • Sampling technique

  • Data collection procedures

  • Instruments

  • Data analysis methods

  • Ethical approval (if applicable)

6. Results

Present findings clearly using text, tables, and figures where necessary.

7. Discussion

Interpret findings and compare them with previous studies. Highlight implications, strengths, and limitations.

8. Conclusion

Provide concise conclusions and recommendations based on the study findings.

9. Acknowledgments (Optional)

Recognize funding sources and contributions from individuals or institutions.

10. Conflict of Interest Statement

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

11. References

Only cited sources should be included in the reference list.

Tables and Figures

  1. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.

  2. Each table and figure must have a clear title.

  3. Tables should be editable and not submitted as images.

  4. Images must have adequate resolution and quality.

References

  1. References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources published within the last ten years.

  2. At least 80% of references should come from peer-reviewed journals.

  3. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  4. References must follow the APA Style (7th Edition) format.

Publication Ethics

Medical Research and Health Innovation follows the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original.

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

  • Data are reported accurately.

  • Human and animal studies have received appropriate ethical approval.

  • Informed consent has been obtained when required.

Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register and follow the online submission process available on the journal website.
